How To Prepare...

It’s normal to be nervous when doing something new, it’s natural to be curious, skeptical, even afraid. If you’ve scheduled a consultation take some time to prepare for our time together.

What type of consultation are you wanting?

Be Realistic About Your Expectations.

No medium is going to be 100% right all the time. You have free will, and you are constantly changing your mind and making new choices. New decisions affect outcomes, so keep that in mind when receiving your consultation and be sure to set your intention before going into the session.

Be Open.

If you come into a reading determined not to "give anything away"  and with a closed, skeptical mindset, I will be hindered by that energy. A closed mind is the energetic equivalent of a locked door. It’s a waste of time and money to approach a consultation this way.

An Akashic mediumistic reading is just like any other professional interaction you might have, but it’s also deeply personal. Though I am not a therapist, many clients report the same kind of relief and reward as when they visit a trusted counselor. Your willingness to be honest, participate, and also keep a sense of proportion and fun will help you have a fulfilling, fruitful consultation.

Think About The Areas Of Your Life You Are The Most Concerned About.

Think about the areas of your life that you need assistance with. This can include relationships, work, spiritual development, friendships, family issues, and more.

Make A List.

The time during a session will go faster than you think, so once you’ve identified your concerns, make a list for yourself in order of importance. It will also help you come up with questions to ask.

Ask Specific Questions.

Never ask passive (Will I?), reassurance (Should I?), or doubt-fueled inquiries. The best questions to ask are specific and open-ended such as: “I’m having trouble seeing eye to eye with my partner, what should I do?”

Identify your own agenda.

This is an important step!  It’s crucial that you know what you're hopes (and therefore unconscious expectations) are for the reading.

Do I need to prepare differently if my consultation is online vs in-person?

There are a few considerations to prepare differently if your reading is online vs. in person. If you have scheduled an online consultation, you’ll want to make sure you have a secure internet connection and a quiet space to have your consultation so you won’t feel distracted. For an online consultations via Zoom, you’ll want to make sure that you have Zoom installed, have the meeting information nearby so that you can easily log on, and that your computer has its microphone and camera enabled.

For readings in-person, you want to make sure you plan plenty of time to arrive at your session so that you’re not feeling rushed or stressed. If you’d like to record your session, you will want to bring a device with you or find out how to record on your phone (most phones have recording apps installed - for example on an iPhone you can easily record using the voice memo app).

Taking time to plan these things out before your session will make sure that you get the most out of it and are able to relax and process all of the information presented to you.
